Help the Drawing Hope Project Help Countless Kids' Imaginations Come to Life!
Web Exclusive
We love the work of photographic artist Shawn VanDaele, especially his uplifting project that is bringing hope and smiles to children fighting serious diseases. His charitable endeavor, The Drawing Hope Project is in the semi-final round of voting in the Aviva Community Fund Competition, which divides $1,000,000 between the best ideas that give back to the community. People can vote once per email per day for the idea (literally takes 2 seconds!) In this final voting round, the top 10 ideas in each category move on to the finals where the judges will choose which ideas to fund. The Drawing Hope Project made it to the semi finals (98 ideas) out of nearly 2000 ideas.

The Drawing Hope Project takes drawings by children born or living with health conditions and transforms them into magical photos starring themselves, for a storybook filled with hope! If funded, Shawn will be able to go from coast to coast and involve children across the entire country in over 40 different communities. Please help them out and vote ONCE a day (per email address) between Dec 3 (today!) and Dec 12. The competition is so tight in this final voting round, it will literally come down to 1 vote that makes a difference.

The project already has inspired people to register as organ donors, saving lives in their community and around the world. The project shows children and their families that despite any circumstances - ANYTHING is possible, as they see themselves (and their kids) health, happy, and living their dreams as they see their imaginations come to life.
