Rover's Makeovers - Gremlin and Champion!
The pup-tastic grooming staff at Rover Oaks Pet Resort in Katy are helping animals from Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) go from bow to wow by providing weekly doggie makeovers for lucky CAP dogs each Wednesday. The pups also receive a free grooming certificate from Rover Oaks Katy so their new adoptive parents can continue to keep them looking their best!
This week's makeovers feature Gremlin and Champion, two little terrier mix puppies of less than a year. Because "scruffy" is part of their appeal, both just had a little clean up and face trim, along with a good bath and brushing.
Meet Gremlin BEFORE his Rover's Makeover!

Gremlin is an 8 month old terrier/maybe schnauzer mix, returned because he is an energetic young boy whose adopter didn't want to take the time to work with him. He is a sweet little guy who will do best with an active family who can help keep him busy and provide some training for him. Did you know that every CAP adoption includes a certificate for a $75 Good Dog Manners class (normally a $195 value)? Classes are offered at both Rover Oaks locations as well as at the shelter, with convenient Saturday and weekday evening hours. Gremlin had probably never been groomed before and will need a little practice with the whole process.

Meet Champion BEFORE his Rover's Makeover!

Champion is a darling little 5 month old Norfolk terrier, found as a stray near Gessner and I-10. It was probably also his first grooming experience and he, too, will need some practice getting used to it. He has a coat that will look great with a grooming process called "hand stripping". Champion's stray hold is up on January 26, at which time he will be looking for a family to call his own.
Check out Champion NOW!

Gremlin, Champion and many other wonderful dogs, cats and small animals are waiting patiently for loving homes at Citizens for Animal Protection, 17555 Katy Freeway (I-10 near Barker-Cypress) in Houston. You may also visit them on the web at www.cap4pets.org but as there are many more pets at the shelter than are shown on the website it is definitely worth a visit. Hurry over to CAP...your new best friend is waiting to meet you!
