Rover's Makeovers - Robotnik and Durango!
The pup-tastic grooming staff at Rover Oaks Pet Resort in Katy are helping animals from Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) go from bow to wow by providing weekly doggie makeovers for lucky CAP dogs each Wednesday. The pups also receive a free grooming certificate from Rover Oaks Katy so their new adoptive parents can continue to keep them looking their best!
This week's makeovers feature two little strays...Robotnik, a 1 1/2 year old schnauzer mix, and Durango, a 7 month old poodle mix.
Meet Robotnik BEFORE his Rover's Makeover!

Robotnik was found dirty, matted and covered in paint, near Saums and Greenhouse. He is a darling little boy who was very good for the groomers. He has a very soft coat and now that he is all cleaned up, he has beautiful and unusual brindle coloring. Robotnik is available for adoption now, though he is currently resting in the quiet of the foster care center at the shelter.

Meet Durango BEFORE his Rover's Makeover!

Durango was also an extremely filthy and matted little guy, found near Wilcrest and Briar Forest. His poor little face was caked from eye discharge and his back and back legs were a solid mass of filth and mats...so he had to be shaved so he could start over. He has clearly never been groomed in his young life and the process was fairly uncomfortable for him, but with a little practice and regular grooming he will have a beautiful coat. He is a sweet and adorable little guy. Durango's stray hold is up on 1/19, at which time he will be looking for a new family that will promise to keep him safe and loved...and groomed!
Check out Durango NOW!

Robotnik, Durango and many other wonderful dogs, cats and small animals are waiting patiently for loving homes at Citizens for Animal Protection, 17555 Katy Freeway (near I-10 at Barker-Cypress in Houston). You can also visit them on the web at www.cap4pets.org, but as there are many more pets at the shelter than are featured on the website, it is definitely worth a visit. Hurry over to CAP...your new best friend is waiting to meet you!
